Friday is hotel day!

Today was Zoey's first day of preschool. We've talked about it for a couple weeks now, what to expect, how long she'll be there, and all the friends she'll meet. Everyone woke up in a good mood and made a great effort to get out the door on time. Dropping Zoey off went smoothly. We signed her in, left her bookbag in her cubby, hugs and kisses, and she was off to find new friends! By the time I got to the car I was near tears, but never looked back. I knew she was in good hands and was about to embark on the first of many first days. Since she started playing soccer we've seen her blossom from a shy little girl to a very social and open young lady. Soccer gave her the confidence in herself that she needed, something we obviously couldn't do. I'm very thankful for her amazing coach and his patience with her! It definately set her up to have a wonderful first day of preschool! When she got in the car to come home she told me that Friday is hotel day. Not knowing what she was talking about we discussed it a bit more and turns out that 'hotel day' is actually show and tell day! She's come up with about 50 zillion things she wants to take, so it will be very interesting to see what she comes up with. Either way, hotel day will be a great day at preschool!
